The key concepts of Direct, Plan, and Improve. Direction, planning, improvement. Vision and Mission. Strategic, tactical, and operational levels. Governance, compliance, and management. Value, outcomes, costs, and risks.
The scope of what must be directed and planned. The concept of Scope of Control. Principles and methods of directing and planning within the scope of control. Goal cascade and requirement cascade. Policies, controls, and guidelines. Decision-making authority at the appropriate level.
The role of Governance, Risk, and Compliance and its integration with the Service Value System. The role of risk and risk management in Direct, Plan, and Improve (DPI). How governance impacts DPI. How the controls implemented must be sufficient but not excessive.
The key principles and methods of continuous improvement. The ITIL Continual Improvement Model and its connection to the Service Value System. Assessment methods. Prioritization of improvement objectives. Business Case. Organizational Change Management. Communication and Organizational Change Management.
Practice using official exam simulations.
